Adding your publication

Path:  Dashboard > Add a New Publication

You can add an unlimited number of publications to your Pressboard account. If you have several publications you add each of them individually and then provide access to specific users to each publication, depending on their roles within your organization.

  1. Click the ADD A NEW PUBLICATION button on the left navigation bar to add a new Publication
  2. Add your publication’s logo by clicking on the UPLOAD YOUR LOGO icon
  3. Fill out the publication details including NAME, URL, RSS feed, LANGUAGE, TIME ZONE, CURRENCY, EDITORS and content CATEGORIES
    • NOTE: Editors are the other people on your team that you would want to have receive campaign notifications and work on incoming story requests. before adding as an editor, you must first add team members under TEAM on the left navigation bar
  4. SAVE

Reminder: Include http:// or https:// when entering your Publication’s URL


Adding Editors to a Publication

Once you’ve created a publication for your account, you may want to go back and add editors. Adding an editor to a publication means that the user will have the ability to accept and manage incoming campaigns, send messages and view reports for that publication. The editors of a publication will receive campaign notifications and messages for ALL campaigns sent to that publication.

Click the EDIT ICON in the publication name and description box

  • NOTE: Editors are the other people on your team that you would want to have receive campaign notifications and work on incoming story requests. before adding as an editor, you must first add team members under TEAM on the left navigation bar

The Editor will receive an email notification indicating he/she will now receive all notifications for this Publication.

Reminder: You must first add users to your team before you can add them as collaborators to your publication


Adding Pressboard’s Javascript code and tags to your website CMS

Pressboard’s code is to be added to the template of your article pages. Once a URL is posted in a given campaign the Pressboard platform automatically locates that URL and serves the relevant sponsorship messaging (presented by and footer) specific to that campaign.

  1. Select your Publication on the left navigation panel
  2. Click on ADD WEB CODE
  3. You will now add the Pressboard code to your CMS
    • If your CMS is on WordPress: Download the Pressboard Stories plug in and take note of your Media ID
    • If you are using another CMS: Add the Javascript, sponsorship tag and sponsorship message tag to the template of the article pages in your CMS
  4. Once Pressboard code has been added to your CMS, click CONFIRM (note: the system will automatically confirm the code within 24 hours)

Reminder: You must have access to your publication’s CMS article template in order to complete this step


Connecting Your Social Accounts

Pressboard requires read-only access to various data sources to execute tasks within the platform. These tasks include building a publisher’s profile in the Marketplace and providing story reporting for Campaigns.

Adding Social Connections

  1. Select your Publication on the left navigation panel
  2. Click on the individual SOCIAL CONNECTION box
  3. You will be asked to provide permission to access read-only analytics from your social accounts
    • Select the appropriate social profile from the list. You can add more than 1 social profile.
  4. Once the social connection is in place it will take approximately 4 hours to update on your profile

Reminder: You must have access to your publication’s social profile in order to complete this step
