Very Merry Cocktail Recipes that Marketers Will Love – Pressboard

Written by Pressboard | Dec 14, 2018 8:00:00 AM

‘Tis the season of holiday parties, gift exchanges and early office closures, but it’s also the time to celebrate all the hard work we marketers put in throughout the year. After all, we work in an industry where it’s common to work long hours to make our clients and customers happy. So, we at Pressboard are taking the time to celebrate the year with a few holiday cocktail recipes — with our signature, punny (and probably not as funny as we’d like to think) spin.

Cheers to you all, and here’s to making great content together in the new year!

Hot Retargeting Toddy

What do rye and retargeting have in common? They’re both great for warming up cold customers. Inspired by this Cookie and Kate recipe, this drink will melt away marketing woes faster than, well, a pad of butter in a hot toddy:

Yield: Serves one

 Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 ounces rye whiskey
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons honey, to taste
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons lemon juice, to taste
  • 1 lemon round or orange slice
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 pad of butter (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
  1. In a teapot or saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Pour boiled water into a mug.
  2. Add the rye whiskey, 2 teaspoons honey and 2 teaspoons lemon juice. Stir until the honey has disappeared into the hot water. Taste, and add 1 teaspoon honey for more sweetness, and/or 1 teaspoon more lemon juice for more zing.
  3. Garnish with a lemon round or orange slice, cinnamon stick and butter pad (if using).
  4. Enjoy!

Monetization Mulled Wine

Mull over your team’s rising sales numbers while sipping on this spicy bevvy. After all, monetization is a drink best served warm. With a little help from Foodess, here is a deliciously citrus-y spin on mulled wine:

Yield: Serves 12

Ingredients
  • 2-750 mL bottles red wine
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar or more to taste
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 10 cloves
  • 4 star anise
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 1 orange or clementine sliced (though apples work too!)
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the sugar as mixture warms, until dissolved.
  3. When the wine starts to steam (about 10-15 minutes), turn off the heat. Don’t let it simmer or boil.
  4. Taste and add more sugar, as desired. Strain any leftovers and refrigerate, covered.

White Diverse Newsroom Christmas

This spiked eggnog is an easy way to make your Christmas holidays as joyful and diverse as your staff. We turned to the team at The Spruce Eats for this festive recipe, which brings together eggnog, white chocolate liqueur and Southern Comfort.

Yield: Serves one

Ingredients
  • 4 ounces eggnog
  • 1/2 ounce white chocolate liqueur
  • 1 ounce Southern Comfort
  • Garnish: edible gold (or chocolate) flakes
Instructions
  1. Add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker, or directly into a snifter glass (no judgement here).
  2. Stir lightly.
  3. Sprinkle gold or chocolate flakes on top.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
